Afghanistan is in the midst of one of the world's most complex, severe, and persistent humanitarian crises since the Taliban government takeover in August 2021. The USAID estimates that 23 million Afghans, more than half of the population, will need humanitarian assistance in 2024.

NEI has spent the last 21 years building a self-sustainable soy value chain in Afghanistan and is able to produce, prepare, and distribute protein-rich soy meals to Afghan families.
